Coraline colors

Started noticing some great pink coraline growth in the LR rubble in my fuge. My display tank has all purple coraline growth all over (LR, PVC Spray Bar, Glass, PH, Overflow box, everywhere).
Any ideas why the coraline in the refugium is bright pink while the coraline in the display is traditional purple color?
Lighting in the disply is 220w PC True 03/10k
Lighting in the fuge is LOA fixture

yup it has everything to do with light intensity......Purple coraline generally grows in shallower water so if u have strong to intense light u should have purple coraline...and the deeper it goes the coraline is more red.....I have two MH in my main tank and i have purple coraline in it and in my fuge i also have a redish pink corale cause it is lit by an eclipse hood (not sure what the watt is)

I thought it was more about light intensity rather than two different types of coraline algae, just wasn't sure.
Thanks for clearing it up.

From my experience, coralline algae takes off with a high calcium (450ppm) and alkalinity level (11dKH), along with strong amounts of current, rather than from the intensity of the lighting. But, I can say once I switched to halides I did notice a sudden decrease in coralline algae growth, although it's slowely coming back as I raise my alkalinity.

In my FOWLRs that I do not use any sort of special lighting, the growth is more red than anything else. In my new nano reef that has 130W PC lighting, I see more purple but do have some red. I also see a lot of green places. What causes the green?

Hondo,
I run the same exact Lighting fixture over my fuge and I have a ton of pink coralline in my fuge as well. I have purple, pink & marron in my main tank.
