Coraline Question/Problems

I've had my tank setup for about 8-9 months now, and have yet to get purple coraline growing. Granted it grows on my Pheads, and USED to grow on my thermameter (SPL?), also got a few spots on the back and sides (No bigger than a Skittle). Well now it pretty much gone, but replaced w/ green coraline algae. I had Kent Calcium, and B-Ionic every 3 days. But dont have a calcium tester. They cost alot around here, and I got taxes to pay. So what can be the problem???? My parameters on everything else is fine. I leave my 98wattx2 PC's on for about 11 hours daily. What can I get to get the beautiful deep purple colored coraline? Calcium test kits are only about 8 dollars. Try using Kent pro buffer dkh to promote coralline alrea.

My LR lost its color during cycling.. After cycle was finished (about 1 week ago) ,I started adding Coral-Vital and my purple and pink is growing like crazy... It did cause alittle algie bloom , but it has subsided...
