Coralline algae question

I see many large tanks that don't have any coralline algae on the glass at all. How do they do this? Are they scraping this all the time? Is there a secret to keeping it off the glass? My wife and I are going to get a 180 gallon soon but she refuses to have any coralline on the glass. Suggestions?

If it will be a fish only tank less light and less calcium will keep it from growing much.
coral tank will take scraping almost everyday for coralline free glass.

My coraline is growing everywhere except on my glass. I magfloat my glass every day which I believe is the reason I don't have it on my glass.
