My 120 G tank has a very healthy growth of purple and pink coralline algea all over the rocks, glass, etc. There is very little if any green algea growth; however, I did a water change and it seems that most of the coralline above the water line turned white. Is it possible for the coralline algea to die within 30 minutes if left above the water line?
