Coralline growth

I've heard that more light increases coralline growth. Does anyone have any experiences that backs this information?

no... in fact low light seems to be the spur causing agent in one of my tanks that has by all coral-sustaining standares 'poor' light. anyway, when calcium/hardness are kept steady, the coralline grows fast in that poorly lit tank also steadily.
Take care.

I have had no problems with coraline growing, and by most standards, I have low lighting. Prior to adding 1 40W bulb at Christmas, I ran 1 Actinic and 1 Triton bulb, both 40W for over 8 years. I have plenty of coraline in my 80 gal tank.
I have not tried more lighting, but like Marek said, it will grow in what many consider poorly lit tanks.

From my experience, it is the Ca and kH levels being appropriate thet really influence its growth.
