how long does it take this wonderfull purple algae to grow??

For this stuff to grow you will need more than time on your side. First you will need to have some in the tank to start with.It doesnt magically appear.You also need the proper lighting,and calcium levels.Not to mention alkinity.STEVE

You will also need to add coral vital this will help it to grow and it is also good for fish's skin.

My tank is 9 months old. I had some coraline and was pretty happy with it. I swear I bought some coral vital and have used it for 4 days. 4 days and I have colors of algae growing that I have never seen before. Mr. Salty, is this why you love the stuff so much? ...4 days!!! Am I seeing things. This stuff is awesome.
