Corals - How much is too much?

Is there any stocking level for adding corals to a tank?

I think another consideration is element levels. I know that at a certain point you will probably have to stop using calcium suplements or kalk water and switch to an actual calcium reactor.
You might try posting this in the reef section, more people might see it with more specific information.
