I've heard of people just using twisty ties or glue - make sure the glue is aquarium safe. I don't have any yet but i've been reading a ton on this site and a few others.
Good luck! :joy:

almost all will attach eventually just some times its quicker to assist them with glue or a rubberband or bridal mesh to hold them in place untill they can attach. the ecxeptions would be LPS and lots of SPS. encrusting SPS will attach on their own but it takes time and if a snail bumps it the proccess starts all over. lots of time glueing is a lot surer to protect your coral from getting blown or knocked away out of sight where you cant reach it and have to tear your rock work apart to get it.
Some LPS I wouldnt reccomend glueing to rockwork like brains as they prefer to be on the sand.
I hope this is the info you were looking for.
lots of times when you buy corals they come on rock already and you can just place them where you want them.

All of my coral is just placed on the rock. I don't glue them because I do a lot of re-aquascaping. for the most part they are OK just being placed down. Once in a while you'll have to pick something up. Usually you will find a good nook to place the coral firmly in.
