Is there anyone who has or can make a list of corals that will fight with eachother? ... I have corals such as Frogspawns, mushrooms, leathers/toadstool, zoo's, etc... And I want to get them placed better. Also... I was thinking about moving into SPS corals and such, so if you could help It would be much appreciated, Thanks Lance.

i just try to keep all different types of corals away from each other.... easier said than done since they adventually when happy start growing into each others space.... or fallin ontop of each other lol
u can keep like things together like zoo's and some mushrooms but id advise that all corals be given enough space and when they do get close to each otehr observe to see how much damage they do to each otehr som will form boundaries where they wont grow into each other and so on

lol thanks yeah I know the whole falling over thing... i used to have a pretty big toadstool that was in the middle of the tank and a frogspawn fell on top of him and did some damage... it eventually rotted a hole through the middle and killed it... but anyone else from experience know any bad mixtures?

My frogspawn was growing closer to a mushroom for a couple weeks and eventually started stinging it and "melted" nearly half the mushroom away before I realized what was happening. After moving the frogspawn the mushroom quickly rebounded.

well said. i have a big acanthastrea that took a tumble on my millipora frag and lobophyllia, both are in rough shape (acans are mean). but as murph was saying just give everything space, especially shrooms as they grow quickly and do a lot of damage to corals if the come into contact. some corals that ive noticed have longer sweeper tentacles than people often say are galaxia, favia, and merulina. leathers and shrooms will recover quickly from stings but sps will not.

fogspawn, torch, and hammer corals of any type or coloration can all touch each other, they are all euphyllia and dont recognise each other as potential threats to space. most zoas will be fine touching but the faster growing type may outcompete the slower one. ceartain palys can pack as much of a wallop as euphyllia, I have seen a tentacle of frog get eaten by one of my more aggressive types of paly. that was cool to watch. Most lps sting while a lot of softies use bio warfare. Sps I am unsure of the dominant form of defense/offense.
