I have kept some larger sized hermit crabs in my tank with all my corals and the only problem I have had was with them knocking them over. I suppose every crab is different so I would recommend trying some less expensive corals first and see if they try to eat them. I imagine if the crabs are well fed they won't try to eat any coral.
Oh, as far as low lighting, I suppose it depends on how low you are talking but you could get things like mushrooms and zoos under relatively low lighting.

Well the tank they are currently in is old and has no lid or light.I can't even find a lid that will fit.So i was gonna break down the other 10 gallon with lid that has had goldfish in it forever and cycle it for them for the time being.Tuesday we are getting 1 55 and 3 20's.My filter and all is big enough for a 20 so i guess i could cycle it and get a hood and lights. Is the LFS lights strong enough for any corals?

Generally the lights to come with those hoods aren't enough for any of the light demanding corals. There are corals, like sun corals ans a few others that you can find that don't require any light but they tend to be difficult to care for since they need alot of feeding.
You can probably find a decent priced T-5 fixture for a 20 gal and keep most any corals, but lights do tend to cost a lot so if thats not the route you want to go you could always stick with things like feather dusters or tube anemones.

They won't let us post links here, otherwise I would. If you want a good price look around in the classified forum here.
