I always do LFS, but others say they've done good on the net. I want to see what I'm buying so that's my main reason.

Shipping can always be cost prohibitive. Esp. when you ship overnight. Thats why I only buy at a LFS. Nothing against the web sights but shipping a $10-40 coral with $20-25 shipping is just silly.

well i was looking at the corals from here and all the ones i have seen are free shipiing and handling..so i will probably buy from here first...but i was looking at the mushroom polyp green ricordea and the orange ricordea, they said they had one polyp, well is that one polyp with those things around it? i was just tryin to see how bif the actual size is.

I bought my first corals online then discovered my relatively local fish store specialist that has more corals in stock than this and most other online stores and for better or equal prices. here's a quote from their website "We have two coral system consisting of 17+ tanks holding approximatly 500+ corals. New arrivals weekly, stop by and check it out!!" I have no further use for online coral shopping now. Dont have to guess about the size, health or condition.
As far as advice, I would say go for the cheap and hardy corals online. the more difficult and expensive ones you'll want to inspect personally for damage and health. same goes for the ones known not to ship well.
