Corlaife Aqualight - flickering issue, can I fix it?

Hey guys, I have a Coralife Aqualight (as pictured above). I've had issues with it flickering and not coming on at all.
I took it apart and cleaned it up, there was some residue on some of the contacts of the little white cylindrical pieces (no idea what they are called) . It's working better now, it will turn on after 30 seconds or so but the flickering has not gone away. Any idea what parts I may be able to replace or what I can do to fix the problem? Also, anyone know a good website to get the parts?
Thanks in advance!
R.

I only have this ---->||<---- much experience with lights, but I had a refugium light that acted similarly. It was the starter (that little white cylindrical piece). Pull that out and match it with a new one found at your local pet store or maybe at Lowe's or Home Depot.
Little white cylinder look like this?

If so, you are looking at a $3.00 fix.

If thats not it, it will be the ballast (remember I said I have little experience). If it is the ballast, just match that to a google search, order online and your fix will go up a few $.
Its not fatal at all.

Thanks, I've been looking at those too. I'll try with the starters first then go from there. Any $$$ you can save in this hobby is a good thing.

ya i had two fuge lights that started flickering and than totally stopped working! I ended up just throwin em away! They were cheap....ive found that going cheap in this hobby just cost you more in the long run!

lol, yup, Captain & Club, splash of Coke and a lime....thats the stuff! The Cap'n makes it happen!
Agreed, its better to save up and get the next step up form el cheapo and it will last you a lot longer. Not just in reefing, also goes for most things in life.

@ Slice - I replace my lamps about every 6-8mo. At this moment my current tubes are about 8 months old. (2 18w 50/50's) so I'm swapping them out next week for some fresh ones. But I was having this issue even when I installed new lamps so I know its the unit.
A few months ago I ended up writing Coralife to explain my issue and see if it was under warranty. They asked me for proof of purchase (which I had b/c I bought online) and sent me a brand new lamp. They were super cool about it. So I have that new lamp on my 10gal nano and will be putting this fixed up old lamp on another 10gal nano I have running with weaker lights. This is my main tank below.
