corraline algae

would like to hear some feed back on corraline algae. how much lighting is best, levels of testing,will corraline grow on anything

yes it will grow on anything. I have a 10gal with only the 18 watt light bulb lit 12 hours a day and it has spread to all my live rock and tank glass. it really likes to have high levals of calcium I find 450 or higher and the stuff takes off.

I have it on my back glass (front and side if I didn't scrape it off), on my LR, on my CC, on my power heads, on my clams, on my return pipes, on the cords going to my power heads, on my snails, on my crabs, in my eco-systems, on my macro-algae in my eco-systems. I think I found some in my underwear last week. kH 10, Ca 450, lights on 12 hours a day. 6 110w vho in my 120 and 90 gallon and 4 110w vho in my 75 gallon.
