In the next couple weeks I will be picking up my custom made 150 gallon 48x30x24. It is made with 1/2" glass and it is eurobraced, it is also drilled for a CL and it is RR. The reason for it being so wide is for more room for the rock work. I am planning on making two big islands out of LR for the rock structure, to make it look more like a real reef and give the fish more swimming room. So far my equipment list is this:
Tank:
1.Custom 150gallon (48x30x24) $450
Stand/Canopy:
1.$1,000
Acrylic/Plumbing:
1.Acrylic for sump $100
2.Plumbing $100
Lights:
1.PFO 250w Dual Metal Halide Ballast $218.95
2.2x’s Lumenarc III reflectors $240.00
3.2x’s 20000k 250w XM bulbs $130.00
Skimmer:
1.ASM G-3 $265
Closed Loop:
1.Super Squirt $225.00
2.Sequence Snapper $200
Powerheads:
1.2x’s Hydor Koralia 4 Circulation Powerhead UL 1200 gph $120.00
Controllers:
1.Digital Aquatics Reef Keeper II Controller $250.00
Return Pump:
1.Mag-Drive 950 $84.99
PhosBan Reactor:
1.PhosBan Reactor 150 $40.00
Heater:
1.2x’s 250w Jager Heater $47.98
DIY ATO:
1.DIY Auto Top off $35
LR/BR:
1.90lbs BR @ $2.00 = $180.00
2.90lbs LR @ $5.00 = $450.00
LS:
1.180lbs @ $1.00 = $180.00
Total: $4316.93
Also the sump design I will be using is this:
I will be posting pictures along the way
