I think long or tall youll be ok. For some zoos you might need to place them a little higher thats all. IMO I would invest the extra couple bucks and get the dual 65. Thats what im going for on my 10g.

yeah for a tall I would deffinately go with 2x65. Just gives you more options.
Sun polyps are good color and dont need light so those are a good choice if you are ready for their care. (spot feeding 2-3 times a week)
star polyps are good come in alot of colors
yellow polyps
xenia diff colors grows like a weed
You can also get gorgonians and such that actually prefer low light to avoid algae build
As for zoos if you want color I cant think of one that there isnt a zoo for.

I can only afford the one right now so il guess il just save up the rest and get the double later on down the road or just start a zoo polyp tank hehe :hilarious

You'll have no problem. You might even be able to keep mushrooms and leathers... I'd experiment with frags first if you do though.
It's nice to see someone trying to take it slow... used to seeing "Hey, I have a 300 gallon tank lit by a flashlight, I'm going to put a carpet anemone in there!"
