could i buy 12 gal fw kit and convert??

They sell these little 12 gal freshwater kits at ***** for half the price of the nanos I could get anywhere else. Could I just put some 50/50s in there or should I just get a Deluxe Nano?

You can convert.....There is not much difference in a 12 gal eclipse FW and one for SW.......other than the bulb IIRC.......theyw ill do ok. The integrated hoods with everything situated and built into them can be a real pain to modify if the desire ever arises, but its still doable. The typical Eclipse with just a bulb change is sufficient for fish, and lots of things like shrooms, etc.......
