I just read the plumbing 101 thread and have a few questions.
It says for a SPS reef tank you need 20X to 30X water flow does all that flow go through the sump?
Do you need two pumps rated at 3000 GPH one for the skimmer and one for return to the tank?
The chillers I have been looking at are rated for a 275 gal tank but are only rated at 845 GPH do you pump the water out of the sump then send it back to the tank for an inline chiller or back to the sump.
Then I thought you wanted less than 100 GPH on a refugium; do you use one of the tank drains for the sump and one for the refugium or do you use an over flow from the sump to the fuge?
Or do you have 10X flow through the sump and the rest circulate in the tank with power heads?
