I have a 6in+ lion that tends to snatch the shrimp that I have on the end of a feeder stick for my eel. is this a problem? the shrimp are the medium sized table shrimp, raw of course. they are also shell on.he doesn't do it all the time, but does do it

Sorry, but I'm not exactly sure where you concern is? If the shrimp is raw, then as long as it was frozen previously, it's fine. If it's shrimp as part of a diet for lions, that's fine too. If it's that the shell is still on the shrimp, that is fine as well. Remember Lions main food in the wild is other fish, which scales and bones are much harder to digest then shrimp shells. If it's that the Lion is eating a large quantity of food, (lots of shrimp before your able to feed the eel), then that is a concern, as fatty liver disease stems from not only feeding the wrong foods (live freshwater fish), but also from overfeeding.

no worries with the shell on, some people say the shell contains helpful nutrients. I am not sure if this is a fact or not.
