Couldn't help myself!

I started a 12 gal Aquapod and it is going great! The cycle is complete. I now have brown algae and little green algae everywhere.
I was breezing through craigslist and found a 29 gal for 40$. It was only listed for one hour!! Looks like brand new.

It came with a filter, 2 powerheads, and some coral. I am pretty sure the coral is fake. But it is very realistic.
I am so siked. This gives me some new possibilities. I can't to wait to go to my LFS and get started with water and LS and LR. I had my eye on a few things in there but couldn't do much with my 12 gal. I guess it will be my clown tank. I will probably have to stop with these two tanks before my husband kills me. This is sooooo addicting. I will post some pics when it is set up. I need to get a stand. I believe it came with standard F18T8 bulbs. I would like some advise on what to replace the bulbs with so I can have some corals and keep them going. They sell "coral life" bulbs. I am getting a little in over my head with the expense so I will have to keep it afforadable for now. Can't upgrade to the halides until I know I can get this going successfully. Any input will be appreciated.

Awsome! Good to have someone nearby. What LFS do you use to purchase products? Not too many nearby. How long have you been doing SW? I have been doing it 2 whole weeks! It is very addicting. Thanks for the reply.

Here is a starting pic from the 29g. It is very bare. I am a little poor from starting the 12g nano. Will be adding live rock a little at a time. Going to move the Chromis from the 12 gal when the water is more stable.

I buy most of my stuff online. But locally, I go to Aquatic Life or Unda The Sea in N Palm Bch. There are a few other locals on here too. Uuuhhhhh............I've had fish tanks in general for 8yrs but salt for only a few. I also like trading coral if your ever interested. FYI I'm near Becker and the turnpike.

Thanks for the reply. I don't have any corals yet. I would like some. If you have any frags you want to sell let me know. I live off Midway and Selvitz. Gonna buy my first Clowns tomorrow. Not sure if to buy tank bred or not. The other ones are half the price. I just want to know if it really matters and how can you tell if it is what they are really selling you. My 12 gal is ready. I did my first water change today. It cycled really fast. I did move the Chromis today. I had to remove all the LR to catch the little suckers! I took my time acclimating them. They seem happy and not stressed. We'll see.

Updated Pic! Moved the Chromis added a little more rock. Found some on Craigslist for 2$/lb. Waiting for a reply.

Also thinking about upgrading the lighting to the Nova Extreme T5's so I can grow some cool stuff.
What do I do for a hood if I get this? Should I get a pane of plexiglass or just leave it open? What about evaporation? Will the light penetrate enough through the glass?

Id go with an open top unless u got sme fish tha are known to jump. And ull just need to top off dialy with RO water due to evaporation. And get the T%s so u can get some nice corals for the tnak!

I also need a little more LR. Still waiting for the replies from craigslist. Hope someone hasn't snagged them all! I should have checked sooner.

I checked a LFS that Justin recommended. They had a really nice piece of LR. I checked my tank late last night and found a shrimp! I think it's a peppermint shrimp but I can't get a positive ID because he is very shy. I just love hitchikers!!
