couple different questions and concerns

Could somebody explain to me a little more info on copepods? For example...how they populate? can you have to many copepods? can you have to many fish that feed on copepods that the pods wont keep up fast enough? anything else that helps with more knowledge on them is appreciated...

Im asking these questions for a couple different reasons...2 weeks ago I had a heater blow up in my 55 gallon tank...since then Im having a really hard time finding any pods in my tank...is there a chance they were killed off by the heater blowing up? Another strange thing that happened is all 5 of my turbo snails immediately died...none of my fish, crabs, shrimp, or even other types of snails died though...I did a couple water changes and added another 5 turbo snails which oddly enough died over night meanwhile everything else in my tank was just fineo_O....I did another water change and added just one turbo this time and here it is 3 days later and hes doing great...

so to get more to the point...im curious as to why the turbos were targeted and im also curious if this may have killed off my copepods..i have 1 mandarin goby...1 coral beauty and 1 bicolor angel..i know I know don't put dwarf angels together lol mine get along just fine...but the fact that I have 3 fish that graze on pods was the reason I was concerned with all of the above...sorry about the long winded and confusing post lol...
oh and my water tests out fine btw

anyways thanks guys and I appreciate the help as always

i dont know any thing about pods besides thers a bunch in my tank. did you try buying more to bring back the population? is your tank temp the same as it was because turbos need stable temps and a specific temps that may have caused the death of your snails.

Only the mandy really eats pods of your fish. The angels are an alage grazer. Yes fish can eat pods faster than they can reproduce. The turbos, the heater could have killed them yes, but to continue to loose them idk
