couple o sick kids

ok, so i got this copperbanded butterfly a few weeks ago from a large chain store. I made an uneducated purchase, i figured if he was alive there, i could definitely keep him:rolleyes: . Well in my haste to get him, i didnt notice until I got home and added him to the tank (no I didnt QT him, I am still learning here, dont all hate me) that he had a small white spot on his tail, as well as one at the tip of his side fin. Over the past three weeks they have gotten somewhat bigger and they are now on both side fins and the spot at the tip of the tail fin is larger. Since I added him, my yellow damsel(who was already prone to hiding in the corner and hyperventalating) developed this big white puffy eye and another damsel(not sure exactly which kind) seemed to have lost most of its tail fin. I immediately set up a 10 gallon QT tank with some of the gravel from the main aquarium and a new filter, this was two weeks ago. Have been using ?melafix? and have done one partial water change in the QT. About a week ago, I noticed three small white dots around my Domino damsels eye and rapid breathing suddenly one day. I immediately moved him to the QT as well. Everyone in the QT now looks pretty good. The yellow damsel is so aggressive with food and before putting him in the QT he wasnt interested in food at all for 10 days.
OK so after all that here is the question____
I understand from reading now that this particular butterfly fish is highly sensitive. I would like to put my little damsel friends back into the main tank and move the butterfly to the QT but am scared about his survival in the QT. I was thinking that with the BF I may go the copper-route but i am just really not sure. Any suggestions???
Other main tank inhabitants are firefish goby, six-line wrasse, couple of hermits, and redfoot moonsnails, about 30 lbs LR and 60 lbs LS

Thank you for all the great suggestion, i did a partial water change and added selcon to the food. The white spots began to go away, but then my BF suddenly died today. Dont know what happened, he just turned dark overnight and died real quick. Guess this was just too aggresive a purchase at this time, I will stick with my little clown for now:(
