I love tangs toooooo.

I have a Purple and some Yellows also. Been together about 5 years now.
They do fine together in a proper system.

they get along great. acclimating them to each other was a pain, the yellow has been there the longest and generally ruled the tank before the purple was introduced. i purposefully bought the purple a size larger then the yellow so that he could defend himself and even then it took a week of only turning lights on when i could watch them and feed them. and keeping tank in total darkness before they were cival with each other. they are going on 5 months with each other now and no more then an occasional tail flick anymore the yellow has been with me for almost 2 years since i started this hobby. I know we gauge things on years not months in this hobby but im hopefull and it works for me

i would say a larger tank, good flow (lots of flow). good water quality, lots of live rock with lots of hiding and swimming space and a varied diet to include lots of algae sheets.
I got most of those just working on the larger tank one myself.

Ahhh, :thinking: IME, '' large healthy reef.''
6 ft. or longer w/ lots of LR for grazeing and shelter and other tank mates to direct their attention around and keep them from focusing on each other for too long...as a short discription
