I woke up this morning to find my cow being pulled tail first into the purple tube anemone. The cow was no longer yellow but brown. I quickly knocked him loose and put him in the hospital. He is breathing but not doing good. anyone else have anything like this happen?
Is what you are you refering to as Cow=Cowfish? Then Cowfish are notoriously bad swimmers and are stuck to powerheads often.Im geussing that you anemone decided to to to have your cowfish for a snack. If i were you then id put some garlic in his food to boost the immune system incase of any lascerations or open cuts.
Now you realize you shouldn't put anything with anemones, especially slow-swimming fishes like cowfish. There is really nothing you can do at this point, but to just wait for the nematocysts to be neutralized. Hopefully your cow will heal by itself.
Tube anemones are very aggressive. They kill everything and anything their tentacles can reach. They aren't really anemones either, there is a worm living in the tube.
