CPR - Backpack Skimmer Question

OKOKOK, I know I must be doin somethin wrong with this thing. I never get ANYTHING in the collection cup. I bought it used so I don't have the manual. Am I supposed to fill the collection cup with water or somethin???
Any help would be appreciated 'cause I'm clueless about this. :help:

I also have a BakPak skimmer. I have found that sometimes these skimmers need adjusting. Do you have the collection cup sitting 1/16" below the water line? It needs to be there for proper collection of the bubbles. I also replaced my muffler with a wooden air difuser and this improved the preformance of the skimmer.

Are you getting lots of bubbles in the one side? I have a CPR also and I also bought it used. So I can try to help you out.

I don't see any bubbles. The water on the right side doesn't seem to have much movement. The left is filled with the blue media stuff. I have adjusted the height of the cup a bunch of times but it still never fills up.
What is the mufler?

Oh shnap. I think I know the problem now. There is supposed to be a hose from the powerhead for air? :notsure:

Yup, utilize the venturi attachment on your powerhead.

I have the BAK PAK 2 and had the same problem when I first got it. There is a tube from the powerhead that goes out of the water for air intake. It was closed. Once I opened it (unscrewed it), I got tons of bubbles! Good luck.

once you attach a tube to the venturi you should get some bubbles. ive modded mine by adding another airhose and air pump directly into the main bubble chamber this added air gives it quite a boost i now get lots of skim although not as concentrated so who knows if i did it for the better or not.
