Cpr Bak Pak Bubbles..aaaaaaargh

I have had a CPR BAK PAK skimmer for 2 years. I used it successfully on a 29 gallon show tank. I just moved everything to a new 40 gallon 3 weeks ago and since then I have been assaulted by bubbles. I bought the bubble trap. I still have small micro bubbles. I cant figure how to get rid of these. The only real difference is now I am using Bionic 2 part vs Kalk drip in the past. I have heard that additives can cause micro bubbles. Will they go away in time or do I possibly need a new hang on skimmer. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

If you moved it to a new tank, it is going to take a while to pull out all the wastes/additives in the water. Until it stabilizes, you will get bubbles. Be patient. They will go away, just like they did on the other tank.
The only time mine bubbles is when I put additives/liquid foods in the tank.

Thanks for the positive response. I know the most important thing about reef tanks is patience, but sometimes I forget. I'll give it some more time.

Also, it is very important to clean that little square piece of sponge that fits around the bottom of the return tube. If you don't rinse it out every couple off weeks, it is more apt to produce bubbles also.

Well ..I guess everyone agrees with the "more patience" solution. I was just concerned that I would need a new skimmer since it was an older model. I thought it wouldnt have bubbles on this new tank since it was ok on the old. I hate to spend money on a skimmer now. I would rather use that to upgrade my lights
