Which protein skimmer is better? The CPR BAK-PAK DUAL or the AquaC REMORA?
I'm trying to find a good skimmer for one of my 75 gallon aquariums and am having difficulty choosing one at a reasonable price. Both of these sell for around $175. I've read mixed reviews on each. Any thoughts? OR, better yet, is there a skimmer that you would prefer over these two??

Aqua C Remora! I have had mine for 5 years now, the only thing I had to replace was the maxi-jet powerhead and the rubber ring that holds the collection case in place. very easy skimmer to use.

Thank-you! I've read both good and bad things regarding both of these skimmers. It seems to be a very split topic debate among everybody. I'll take your word for it!
How large is your tank? I'm debating on whether to get the Remora Pro, or just the regular one. The regular one is rated for 20-75 gallons while the Pro is rated for 40-125 gallons. If it's actually "true to gallon," then the regular would be fine. However, I find that going bigger is always better!
Thanks again!

my tank is 87 gallons ,there is a photo of it on the picture section of this forum. when you first hook it up its pretty loud! it takes about a good week to quite down, i did by the extra add on ( surface skimmer box) not that great, did see a little difference but not much.

Cool tank man! My tank is a 90 gallon, so if yours is working for you, then I'm sure it'll work for me as well. My Bioload may be a but heavier though, but all is good! I did hear that the Remora is quite loud, but I didn't hear that it quieted down, so thanks for that!
