I have one on my 29 gallon and it's ok but i've heard that remora is a better skimmer from alot of people.

I have had one for a short time and as far as I can see it is serving its purpose. In my opinion skimmers are a little overated.

I've used a CPR bacpac 2r for well over 18 months now...had 2 problems with it and the cpr web site took care of both immediately. In my opinion a quality product with quality customer service.......a rare combination in my opinion.I wouldn't use one on a system larger than 55 gals...but it is now on my fish only and still skimming away.

it says the Cyclone BAK-PAK 2Rsm Bio-Filter does biological filtration..well i have a tank with an emporer 400(biological,chemical,mechanical)
would that be a problem having 2 things that are going to do biological filtration?

Had mine for over a year and no problems. As long as you take the powerhead out and clean it once a month per the instructions and keep the skimmer cup cleaned. To date no problems and it skims away just fine. I have it running on my 55 gallon.
Hope this helped....

I also removed the BioBale stuff from my CPR. Just seemed to clog up and retain uneaten food.
Seems like a large nitrate factory to me. I put my heater in that space and it works well for me.
Hope this helps.
