For the last couple of days I've been tinkering around with my CPR Siphon Overflow CS90 ***) . It is recommended that a Aqua Lifter or Rio Venturi Pump be used. Well, what I've noticed it is that if you attached 1/4 inch tubing from th

located at the top of the Overflow Box and ran the tubing to a Rio Venturi pump located in a sump or fuge, a continous flow will proceed no matter if your Venturi pump goes. You can even remove the tubing from the Venturi Pump and there still will be a continous flow without interruption. So for example, if the Venturi Pump goes out and your return pump continues to pump water up to your tank, the CPR Overflow Box will continue to siphon out water. No worries of any air buildup or a tank overflowing due to a Aqualifter or Rio Venturi Pump going out. I tested it multiple times, including a complete power outage, failure of both sunction and return pumps with success at all times. I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure about this one (Knock On Wood). Try it out and see if it works.
I hope I explained myself pretty well.
