Everyone says to turn of the skimmer when using red slime remover, but on my CPR back Pack, can I just take out the collection cup? My heater is in the skimmer. if I take out the cup, wont everything just flow back in the tank without being skimmed?
Like Buzz said, just close the airlfow knob off. The water will still run through it just won't be skimming anymore since it won't make and collect bubbles. I have the same setup and turn my skimmer air flow off for a few days every week or so for my corals to get full.
