CPR Skimmer Problems! Leaky Leak

I am having problems with a rubber gasket on my CPR Bak-Pak 2 Protein Skimmer. The gasket is between the acrylic body of the skimmer and the L-shape tube that is coonected to the powerhead. It's leaking two-three drops a minute. If I move the skimmer away from the tank the water leaks from the gasket like Niagra Fall

s. I even added an extra gasket to stop the leak but to no avail

. Has anyone encounter this problem before?

I had the same problem a few years ago when I was using that skimmer on a 55. I used silicone and never had a problem. I still have the skimmer...somewhere.
