crab eating leather

I just put a really nice leather frag in 3 days ago , my sally lightfoot is always bothering it . seams like chewing at base of the frag . I buried as much as I could of the base . will that bother the frag , and will that stop the crab from nibbling at it .

I was thinking that also but the coral is now leaning forward not straight up like when i first got it .
