Does anyone know how to remove crabs when they are hold up inside a rock?
I've had the rock out of the water for about 45 min and it wont budge.:notsure:

Pour some carbonated water (club soda) into where he is hiding and he will surely come out asap.
I had a mantis in a small rock that I soaked in freshwater for 1 hour and 10 minutes and he still refused to come out. Then just today I got a can of club soda, poured about 2 ounces in and he came out in less than 3 seconds.

Hey
put the rock back in the tank and get a skewer
then get some kind of bait like shrimp and put it on the skewer try to lure him out with this
get his as far away from the rock then scoop him with a net
i did this myself
the crab i had got too big and tried to eat my small fish
let me know if it works for u

I wish I would have known about the carbonated water trick before this past weekend.
I'm pretty sure I have a mantis in my tank, but after two nights of unsuccessful trapping attempts (although I caught everything "else" in the tank), I took out most of my rocks on Saturday and soaked them in fresh water....still with no resullts.
What bummed me out even more was (even though I was told by the LFS that it wouldn't hurt them), doing the fresh water soaking I killed some blue striped mushrooms that I had really taken a liking to.
