crabs and ich

First post hello to all. I have one hermit crab with LR and LS, all that is left from an ich out-break. If I left the tank as is for three or four weeks will ich be gone or do I have to remove the crab? Thanks to all.

Ich is a fish parasite it cannot carry it. It simply does not work out that way. The ich should be gone in three or four weeks, but it is hard to say. Ich can go dormant in a cyst for years, don't worry though it is very unlikely. I would add a, as in one, hardy fish and see how it does after that. A personal suggestion on the fish, do not get a damsel, I really hate those little DEVIL fish. There are many more attractive, cheap fish that do not kill everything else.
