crazy rock question

I am considering reaquascaping - the problem is while I have a few pretty cool rocks, some of them are not that usable for corals.
I bought them early in the hobby when I had a fowlr. So what I'm wondering is has anyone every drilled holes into fuji lr or any other lr ?
I thought it would make for some cool spots to frag or set plugs in.
If so what kind of drill bit and any other advice ????

You could just use glue and/or putty

Masonry drill bits, and you could use clear acrylic rod, or even cheaper are the fiber glass drive marker flags....Cut the reflectors off the top of the rods and cut the rods to size then....I picked up some white ones from Lowes Sunday for $1.00...... Glue and putty are permanent if they hold.....
