crazy snail

Is it normal for a turbo snail to bury itself in the sand? When I first got this one, it crawled down the glass about 1in into the sand bed. Today, i looked in the tank and saw something barely poking out of the sand. I pulled it up and it was the dang snail! Is this normal?

Are you sure it's a turbo?? cause nassarius snails do that, and it's normal for them...
