Credit Card numbers stolen from T.J. Max

There were several other stores included in that. My bank already sent us new debit and credit cards just on the chance that we have been there. Someone hacked into their "clearing house" of credit info is the way I read the letter from our bank.

CC nos. stolen = 47,500,000

and, if you read the article, its more than that.
cc #'s were stolen, as were names, addresses, and ************** id #s.

When they use the term Credit Card. That's not just Credit Cards in the classic sense but your Debit Card (Checking Visa/MasterCard) too...

TJ Max was compromised with same thing sometimes last year. May be new news now... my bad ..

Certainly not, just putting it into perspective. If you take into consideration how many of the people in the census have no credit cards at all (kids, low income,etc.)the odds for the rest of us increase dramatically.
BTW was it US cardholders only or worldwide accounts??
