Creepy Crawlers!!!

I was checking out the front of my tank today really closely, and noticed tiny tiny white things that look like they are crawling on the tank. Is this ick? I feed my fish twice weekly with garlic enhanced food so hopefully if it is ick it won't stick. Has anyone else seen this on their tank? They clearly sit there, and then crawl a bit, and then sit. Hopefully my cleaner wrasse will eat them!

they are copods, they are small white bug type creatures. amphopods are a bit larger about 1/4 inch white bugs...they are good for your tank...food.
ick is a diease that is on the fish.

I agree, sounds like copepods. They are a good thing.

What a relief. Although, I had some unsightly algae growing as well and wiped the front glass clean, so I'm not sure where the copepods went. If they're good, hopefully they'll survive. Thanks for the help.

these are the critters that a mandrine likes to chow on...... they also help with the ecosystem of your tank.... its a good thing, they will munch on some of the algae,,,,,,

Are they (.) big or (--) big? The dot is a copepode and the -- is an amphipode. Both are harmless and good.
