Critique my current sump...

Hello everyone,
Here are a few pictures of my current sump. Overflow to tank is on the right side of the pics, Mag 12 to tank on the left. As you can see, there is no skimmer. I have finally received my ASM G4 plus skimmer and also have a new 40 breeder tank that I am going to use as my new sump 36L 18W 16H. Just by looking at what my setup is now and factoring in the skimmer and bigger tank, is their any changes anyone would think would make a positive impact?

Sump looks good from the pic......G4 has a big footprint, but should be able to stuff it in the new 40

Basic layout looks good...could use more/better light over fuge...and are you sure you have enough "backwash" room in there ?? Looks awfully full...:thinking:

Their is enough room in the sump for backwash in case the power goes out. I have turned the power off on purpose and it rises leaving abt an inch of room after the anti siphon hole breaks. My problem is that if the overflow were to fail, I would definitely have a flood as it would spill out of the tank, but if i raise the pump, I get a ton of air bubbles, so I don't know what to do. Also, what othet type of lighting would you reccomend? Thanks...

In general...4+ watts/gallon of PC lighting....
