Critters in over flow

Yo. Always wanted to know. What are the little critters that sometimes get caught in the pre-filter of the overflow to my wet-dry filter. What the heck are they? They look like little brine shrimp...but alive. And if they are very bad, please let me know how I can take care of them.

More than likely copepods/amphipods......small critters that can be a sign of a healthy stable system....not to mention a food source for some reef inhabitants as well as part of those high expense detrivore kits everybody wants to buy....they are low maintenance and will multiply rapidly in the right sistuations.......stable water/good lighting/good current

Yep, there good. They clean up alot. How long has your tank been set up?If up for awhile maybe you could look into a Manderine Goby. They feed of these little guys but need a mature tank and alot of these little guys. Ina tyank your size one could be very happy.
