Crocea Mantle Hurt?

I have had a crocea in my tank for about 4 months and it has been doing beautifully sine he was introduced. I just noticed that one of the mantles has started to curl up at the tip of one end ... like a wilted rose pedal. The rest of the clam looks great.
Any idea if this could be disease or more likely injury? Any treatment suggestions?
Sorry that I don't have a picture.
Water parameters:
Ammonia: 0
Nitrates/trites: 0
pH: 8.3
Salinity: 1.025
110 gallon reef

Here is a picture I took yesterday. The damaged mantle is on the back right side. It looks a bit worse today.

Do you have any angels in your tank? Angels have been known to nip at the mantles of clams, doesn't mean every single one will, but that's a possibility.

i dont see anything out of the ordinary. the one thing it could be responding too is something near the mantle underneath or around it. maybe something stinging it or irritating it. i wouldnt call it pinched mantle at all, just looks like its being annoyed. could just be nothing too.
whats your alkalinity and calcium at? make sure to monitor those as well

My take as well. You can see other corals real near, and some polyps right next to it.
Moving your topic to our Coral forum for more coral related input.

I doubt its coral stings, I have kept clams in close proximity with various stinging corals and have never seen the clams to suffer for it (I wouldnt try it with fire coral though
)
I would say it most likley looks like the begginnings of pinched mantle disease.

something stinging it like maybe aptasia or a mejano, not a coral. but it can also be nothing. might be normal for the clam to do this at times and might be the first time you notice it

Lawnmower Blenny too. First hand knowledge.

Thanks everyone for your help and advice.
First ... I'm happy to report the clam is looking great once again.
I had introduced a coral beauty and flame angel around the same time as I noticed the injury but I thought the fish came after. I also have a lawnmower blenny but he's been in the reef for a few months without an issue.
None of the corals in the area touch the clam except for small frag of xenias near the front.
Alkalinity level is near 2.5 and calcium around 400 last time I measured.
My best assessment is that the mantle was possibly nipped by a newcomer and took time to heal. It was the first time I saw such a reaction (I'm a newbie) and wanted to get opinions.
