Crosshatch Hiding

My male crosshatch in my 280g has been hiding for the past 3-4 days. I haven't seen him swimming or eating the whole time. He is in the spot he usually only sleeps at. Not sure what's going on because every other fish and coral in the tank is doing great and everything test good. The female crosshatch is constantly out and definitely eating her share of food. Anybody have any ideas??? Thanks

They have never bothered anything intentionally but they have ran into a few pieces of sps before. Other than that they have been completely reef friendly just some big eaters.

keep us updated on him.i am hoping to have my house started soon .like next month.i plan a 1500 sq ft metal home to live in for a year or two while i build my dream home.i am going to buy an 8 foot tank in wall for over there.so i need to buy it in the next couple months.
i have seen the crosshatch at my fish suppliers a few times and pictures of them in no way compare to the real thing.my favorite thing with the triggers are their eyes.they just watch everything you do.kinda sinister

Crosshatch are definitely a very cool fish! The guy is doing a bit worse now though, he is just hiding down by the sand bed in a cave at the moment

The crosshatch is now laying by a power head and looking even worse. I'm torn on what to do because my qt isn't set up at the moment and I have to leave for 2 days and want to give him a chance to live but also don't want to come home to him dead and causing an ammonia spike hurting the rest of my tank.....

i would set up the qt ,take some rock out of the dt and put it in there with a couple powerheads.and a hob filter if you have one.it really sucks when a fish is dying and we have no idea why? i know it just happens sometimes but it suckes.i hope he gets better .

The crosshatch didn't make it
He didn't show any signs as to why either, basically seemed to just stop eating and become to weak to live
