Cuban Hog Scratch

Anyone out there with Cuban Hogs? Mine has always been a little bit of a scratcher, not all the time, but seems to like brushing his side on the sand. I don't see any lesions and havn't had ick in the tank recently. No other fish does this.
Is this behavior typical for the species?

You may want to take a closer look for parasites with a magnifying glass.
