Cuc +?

Love these boards! Just started up my first tank these past few weeks. Its a 24g NC DX stock everything with the addition of a maxi-jet 900. 20-25lbs LR and about the same amount of LS.
My question: I have cycled the tank and it has actually been done cycling for about a week(I dont have a ton of cash so I am very cautious). I have a good bit of algae so i need a CUC soon. Tons of copepods seemed to have come from nowhere the past three to four days. Is it a bad idea to get a CUC along with my first fish? or should i wait for the fish and just go ahead with the CUC. I was going for 2-3 larger snails(Turbos) 4-5 astraes, and a few Hawaii hermits and an emerald crab.
The fish would depend on what the LFS has in stock tomorrow and might just be a pair of False clowns or a Yellow Watchman Gobi if they get one in.
Was also going to add a few zoos as well, but like i said, i don't like pushing too fast... Just that the LFS is about 45 min away.

I would go ahead and get your CUC first and let the clean up the tank for about a week. Then I would go out and get your first fidh, oh and welcome to the boards!

CUC = Clean up crew
Figured as much about the fish. I want to add a little color so i think i will stick with maybe 10 polyps or so of a nice zoo instead if i find any I really like. I'm incredibly picky lol.
Should i see any fluctuations in the parameters of the aquarium after adding the CUC or should it stay pretty steady?

Algea problems are normal in a new tank. As far as the fluctuations in the water, you shouldn't see much change. I would wait on the corals for awhile, I couldn't keep corals alive in my tank until after a month it was up. Just a little advice,because coral is expensive and it sucks when you lose it.
