Cucumbers

How sensitive are cucumbers, are they considered hardy? Will Emerald crabs, hermits or shrimp bother them? How about Nitrates, can they handle it around 40 or so?

If your talking about the ugly sand sifters they are pretty hardy you just have to watch out for rapid salinity changes. And I've never heard of anything bothering them. As for the colorful ones it's may inderstanding that they are more sensitive. And I've heard that some fish may bother them.

Thanks, I'm interested particularly in the Pink and White knobby one. If they are indeed sensitive to Nitrates in the range of 40 than I may need to have a friend baby sit it for a while.
