Cups of salt per gallon?

Anyone know how many cups of salt you would need to add to make 1 gallon of water?
Trying to simplify everything.

I was talking about Coral Life. I've got a couple of 50 gallon bags that have no writing on them, and I don't know where the bucket is.
How different is Reef Crystals or IO? I can't imagine it being too different

Coralife is also 1/2 cup per gallon.
