curing live rock in a rubbermaid

the last batch we cured in a spare 20 gal tank--we're thinking of using a large rubbermaid this time. Just wondering, what do you do about a heater? Isn't there a danger of melting the container? Never saw this addressed before, maybe I'm missing something obvious. Thanks!

I've cured new live rock in rubbermaids on several occasions.
One container for curing - the other container has newly mixed saltwater to move the rock over to once ammonia rises.
Then I mix up another batch in the first container for final curing.
Heater / powerhead tossed in - no problems melting anything.
If you're concerned about it - you can get a plastic heater protection cover ... or just rest the heater in the rubbermaid so it doesn't touch the sides/bottom.
Good luck on your next batch :p

I think the movement of the water will help keep the heater from getting hot enough to melt the plastic. I have a heater in a 30 gallon plastic trash can that I use for fresh saltwater and it rests against the bottom and has never been a problem.
