Curing Live Rock

How do you Cure Live Rock, and for how long do I cure it?
I am looking to have some shipped. I will need to cure it? That's what I've read. I don't think I have the means to do that. What would happen if I just put it in my tank after shipping? my tank is new... just set it up a week ago.
Curing Live Rock... sounds kinda complicated.

Itll do fine if u just put it in the water cuz thats wat i did with mine nuthin special for it. it may take a few days or weeks to get its color back but it will in no time look great.

This guy said he had damsles in his tank already, If you still have them then dont listen too Gatorsfan unless you want a spike and then your damsles will die. Trust me, if your keeping the damsles then please cure the live rock first.

i went i first setup the tank the live rock went in first then a day later i put in the damsels

dude it's very simple to cure LR. just get a Garbage can (plastic) clean it you really good. add LR Add SW Add PH and wait for a cycle. that is it!
