Curing Live Rock?

Okay. I have a couple small pieces of live rock (of shall i say dead) which I took out of my 30gal tank a long time ago. Now its all dried up and white. IS IT STILL CURABLE? I want to put these pieces in my 10 or 20 gal.

It is more than likely base rock now and should be scrubbed thoroughly. Try to remove anythiny non-calcareous. You might have a few spores on the rock that will eventually grow into something.
