i think i pretty much got this down but i just wanna make sure. Okay uncured rock in saltwater with normal salinity. Put powerhead in for water circulation. Check readings, when all reading 0 (ammonia, nitrite) its safe to add to take. But dont add all at once.
My questions come from this, do i need to have lighting over the rock or does it matter, and should i ever do a water change throughout the curing?
Thanks

4-6 weeks to cure. 1-2 hrs lights during the first week, no more than 3hrs throughout the cycle. NO water changes until the cycle is complete. When you can test 0 on all for 5 days in a row, your cycle is complete. Do a 25-30% water change and build up the time onn your liights.

I'm curing some as we speak. I run lights 3 hours a day, just in case there is any light needing animal on the rock. I figure that's enough to keep it alive and not so much as to encourage algea growth.
By no means am I an expert though. Just going with what I think makes sense.
Good Luck!
