I've got a good contact w/ my local Plexi Glass store. They claim they can make anything, and so far have made some incredible pieces for my race car that have been beyond what was promised, needless to say I'm very happy with them.
I'd like to enlist them to make a custom tank for me, but first I have a few questions I was hoping to get this board to comment on:
1) Is Polycarbonate ("bullet proof glass") ok to use rather than Plexi? Or does it have contaminates that will mess w/ the tank?
2) How would you figure the thickness of the Plexi for the size of the tank? I can do the conversion from Plexi to Polycarbonate, but I don't know where to begin.
3) Glue? I've had them melt pieces together in the past and they seem to hold up very well, but I don't know if that would hold water for long.
4) What's the math again? H * W * D / 231?
